Great Big Thank You!

I wanted to share a little story of my week with you. As you know, my back has been out of whack again the past few weeks. I told you that this time was worse than the others. I was in extreme pain and I know the man I had to see was you. I did just that and over the course of the following few days, you had me up and about. I was still in pain but I know I was getting better. Last weekend I guess Easter Sunday got to be a bit much and too soon. Making all the required family visits with the baby, first to church then my moms, then Kelly’s mom and in and out of the car with the baby and the car seat… By the end of the night I was in a lot more pain. We finally got home and I took 4 Advils and went to bed. When I woke up Monday morning I was in the most pain I had ever felt in my life. I felt as if my back was broken. I was literally in tears as I fell to the bathroom floor and Kelly had to come in and help me off the floor. It hurt immensely to stand up, it hurt immensely to sit down. I couldn’t take it. I needed help in the form of relief really bad. I could not take another second. I could not wait for your office to open at 10 am. I was on the verge of calling an ambulance to take me to a hospital. Yeah, it was that bad. Hello Dr. Jesse,

I grabbed my phone and searched all the Chiropractor offices in the Ironbound to see who opened first. I came about a XXXXX office on Chestnut Street that opened at 9 am. It was an emergency but I felt so bad aside from the back pain which was intolerable. I felt as if I was cheating on you. Almost as bad as a feeling of cheating on my wife! They were nice people. I needed help out of my car and they came out to help me. As I sat in the waiting room all crooked and twisted, I looked around and saw he had all these certificates and degrees from all sorts of places including Harvard Medical School. He had a dvd playing on the TV that explains the importance of keeping a healthy spine. He also had copies of a book he co-authored on neck pain. It is quite impressive but all I cared about was to get on that table.

I finally was seen and evaluated which included taking my blood pressure and back x-rays. When I finally laid down, I have to say that the treatment was very disappointing. I was expecting a good adjustment to relieve to immediate pain like you always do. But that didn’t happen. No heat to begin, no electric stim. Just some kind of little pocket gun that felt like it did nothing. They had to help me off the table and then to another room for some quick stim and an uncomfortable setting with 6 others in the same room lying next to each other. I got up and hobbled my way to NYC for work. Bad idea. I had problems getting out of my car, off the train and up to my office. Needless to say, I left early because of the pain. I now had to go back to his office the next day, Tuesday, so they can show me the results of the x-rays. He showed me the x-rays which showed how fucked up my back is. ( A 7mm curve from bottom to top and the L4 and L5 are shot). He then gave me another very weak adjustment, a quick stim afterwards and sent me home with some Bio-Freeze. Another sleepless night. Even on a percoset.

He said that it will require some aggressive treatment to repair. Still too much pain. I stayed home from work and he wanted to see me again the next day. I gave him one more chance and went there Wednesday. Once again not very productive. I couldn’t wait to get off the stim table to go see you! I felt like I badly needed a good crack. As soon as I got in my car, I called your office and they told me you were on vacation. I went anyway.

I was thinking to my self, “Was it crazy to see 2 Chiropractors the same day one after the other?” I didn’t care. But what I really wanted to tell you was that at your office, I was seen by Dr. Stone. I remember him treating me some years ago at your place once before when you were away. Although I wanted a more aggressive treatment like you give me, I didn’t care at this point. Anyway, his methods are certainly different than yours but whatever he did, I COULD WALK!! Without pain! I felt as if it were a miracle. I thought you should know that it’s great that you have a dynamic staff that offers versatility and expertise in spinal manipulation. So therefore, a great big thank you! You saved my life this week! I went back again today and was treated again by Dr. Stone and I feel amazing. Kudos to Dr. Stone! Now get back here so you can finish me up. My vertebrae miss you…
